Enrique Avila Lopez

, Enrique's research constitutes the first critical reading of the works of Rosa Regàs. His doctoral dissertation, Imaginación, memoria, compromiso. La obra de Rosa Regàs: un ámbito de voces, has received international attention. In fact, it was awarded the I Premio Victoria Urbano de Crítica in 2007 by the Asociación Internacional de Literatura y Cultura Femenina Hispánica.
Contemporary Spanish Peninsular Literature; Contemporary Caribbean Literature, Hispanic Cinema and Spanish Culture.

Gilles Mossiere

, Gilles' main research interest is in French literature, and mainly French Mountain Fiction. He is presently working on the representations of the Himalayas in French Mountain Literature. Gilles' secondary interest is in Translation. He is a certified member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Alberta (ATIA/CTTIC), and enjoys translating Alberta authors to help widen their readership.

Marianne Beauvilain

, Since 2005, Marianne Beauvilain has been the coordinator for the French and Romance Studies in the Department of Languages and Culture at Mount Royal. In 2003, Beauvilain met the French novelist Nancy Huston at a presentation organized by Mount Royal and since has been interested in both her autobiography and novels. Beauvilain is currently advancing research about Huston's work and French literature in North America.
