, With a unique background that combines an MBA from Adelphi University, New York, career as a corporate executive with globally renowned corporations in the United States, and eight years experience as a leader in the non-profit international development sector in South Asia, Aamir Jamal brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in teaching management, nonprofits and organizational behaviour courses at Bissett.

David Finch

, I am a skilled marketing professional with nineteen years of progressively senior marketing experience. This background as a practitioner provided an important foundation for the completion of my PhD in Management. My academic research agenda is focused at modeling marketing ROI - the empirical relationship between the allocation of marketing resources and their measurable impact on company performance.

Jim Silovs

, Jim Silovs earned his BPE, LL.B, B.Ed from the University of Calgary. He is currently a Law and Insurance instructor in the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal.

Lori Buchart

, Is part of the Human Resources and General Business Department in the Bissett School of Business and has recently finished achieved ABD Status for the Doctorate of Business Administration Degree. Currently, she is working towards completing her doctoral research. Her project investigates development opportunities for tenure track faculty that will enhance their tenure track experience. The purpose of her findings will be to theorize why the challenges of faculty recruitment, retention and selection exist and to present a model for faculty mentoring and otherwise.

Melanie Peacock

, Melanie Peacock brings enthusiasm as well as a diverse professional and educational background to the Bissett School of Business. Melanie has been extensively involved in professional HR initiatives as a senior manager, independent HR Consultant and educator.

Patti Derbyshire

, Falling in love with research will working for the CBC led Patti Derbyshire to transition her broadcasting background and expertise to academia. Earning a Masters in Conflict Management Analysis Organizational Behaviour, she has been teaching at MRU since 1997 and part of the Bissett School of Business faculty since 2002.

Paul Varella Connors

, Dr. Varella believes that management, like all other areas of social sciences, requires solid and rigorous research work in order to fulfill its social mandate. Through a strong integration of his industry experience and solid academic initiatives, he has developed a fruitful academic career at Mount Royal University. His main areas of interest lay in organizational leadership and social networks. Specially in their relationship to the strategic evolution of organizations. His work focuses equally in organizations in the free enterprise or the nonprofit environments.

Sharon McIntyre

, Sharon is a member of the Marketing faculty at MRU. Areas of interest include the teaching of undergraduate marketing, the evolution of the role of marketing in the energy industry, and aspatial peripherality as it relates to entrepreneurial marketing. She also writes and speaks on the influence geographically-peripheral location and immediate surroundings have on the creativity and innovation processes of successful marketing-driven entrepreneurs.

Susan Quinn

, Susan Quinn is interested in all aspects of ethics and broadly-defined corporate social responsibility. She is investigating how well Canadian post-secondary academic institutions incorporate CSR into their curriculum and their operations. Susan has been an instructor at Mount Royal since 1989.

Valerie Kinnear

, Valerie Kinnear's project is to co-author an introductory financial accounting textbook, Accounting Principles 5th Canadian Edition, which will be published by John Wiley & Sons Canada, Ltd, in the first quarter of 2010.
