Research and Scholarship Advisory Committee
The RSAC, a subcommittee of Academic Council, is a broadly representative body of faculty and staff that:
- Acts in an advisory capacity to the AVP Research
- Reviews the institution's Strategic Research Plan annually
- Develops, considers and reviews research-related policies and procedures
- Provides an internal communication mechanism between Faculty Councils and Research Services
- Considers applications for 'Research Centres'

Research Technology Advisory Committee
The purpose of this subcommittee of the Strategic Technology Council is to
provide input, feedback on strategic initiatives supporting research-related requirements and solutions. The committee will be a two-way communication
vehicle for the Strategic Technology Council. The STC will use information gathered from the committee/s to establish and prioritize
the technology initiatives for Mount Royal. The STC will use these committees to communicate/gather feedback to prioritize the
institution strategic technology initiatives.

Scholarship Review Committee (Internal Grants)
The Scholarship Review Committee (SRC) reviews all institution-wide internal grant applications, makes decisions on ranking,
and provides recommendations on funding to the AVP Research. The SRC also acts as a team of topic-specialist reviewers that
may be called upon by the Grants Facilitator, the Human Research Ethics Board, or individual faculty (through Research Services),
to review specific portions of applications. Committee members may also be called upon to review specific types of external
calls where the institution is the manager of the funds, such as through AACTI or SSHRC Institutional Grants.

Web Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee
The purpose of this committee is to bring together diverse views from academic, administrative and support areas to develop
a vision for the strategic use of web technologies. To investigate new social and technical developments and to determine which
among them fit with institutional vision and goals. To structure, prioritize and ultimately recommend an ongoing implementation
plan for web and related technologies. Given the constant change inherent in such technology, this will be a standing committee
rather than a task force.
